Disney World Dining Openings and Closures Tracker

A maintained, source-backed tracker of confirmed Walt Disney World restaurant openings, closures, and reopenings.

Editorial

This tracker currently includes two confirmed 2026 Walt Disney World dining changes: Restaurantosaurus and Restaurantosaurus Lounge closed with DinoLand U.S.A., and FØØD by Swedish Chef opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Every entry links to Disney's own announcement and shows when it was checked.

SpotSitter is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company.

What this tracker includes

We list three kinds of changes:

  • Openings — new restaurants or dining experiences now accepting reservations or walk-ups.
  • Closures — restaurants that have stopped operating, whether temporary or permanent.
  • Reopenings — restaurants that closed and have returned, sometimes with a new menu or format.

We only include an entry when we can point to a primary source or to evidence already in our working copy. If we cannot verify a change, we do not list it.

Source policy

Our source tiers, in order of preference:

  1. Official Disney pagesdisneyworld.disney.go.com, Disney Parks press releases, Disney Parks Blog, My Disney Experience.
  2. SpotSitter receipts — our own dated screenshots or booking evidence, labeled as first-party observations rather than Disney policy.

We do not list rumors from anonymous forums, unsourced social media posts, or AI-generated speculation.

Last-checked policy

We check the official Disney dining pages and our source evidence before updating this tracker. The date at the bottom of this page shows when the tracker was last reviewed. Individual entries show when that specific change was last confirmed.

If a listed closure or reopening is resolved, we remove the entry and note the change in the page history. We do not leave stale entries up for search volume.

Venue Change Effective date Source Last checked
FØØD by Swedish Chef Opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios May 26, 2026 Disney Parks Blog menu and opening announcement July 22, 2026

This page does not treat menu updates or one-day operational interruptions as openings or closures. It also does not predict what will replace a closed venue unless Disney has announced it.

How to use this tracker for your trip

If you are planning around a specific restaurant, do not rely on this page alone. Check the restaurant's page on disneyworld.disney.go.com before your 60-day booking window and again a few days before your visit. Disney occasionally closes or reopens venues with short notice.

For reservable restaurants, use Disney's official page to confirm that bookings are offered. Some new dining locations are walk-up or quick-service and therefore are not a SpotSitter watch target.

Get alerted when reservations open

SpotSitter can watch supported reservable dining availability. When it detects a matching opening, it sends an alert and you book it yourself on Disney's site. SpotSitter does not hold inventory or book for you.

See the SpotSitter methodology page for what we monitor, what an alert means, and the limits of our founder case study.
